My morning was pretty sporadic because of the doggies. When I was at my aunt and uncle's house yesterday and they were telling me how to take care of their dogs, my uncle said that sometimes they'll be annoying and want to go out at 4 in the morning, but most of the time it'll be at 6, and sure enough, Wrigley started barking at 3:30 and Sutcliffe started pawing at my arm, so I got out of bed and let them outside. When they came back in, I went back to bed, and they repeated the same thing at 5 and 6. I wasn't sure if they were barking because they wanted to go out, but they didn't stop until I got up and let them out, so I just did that haha. So my sleep was really strange this morning.
I finally got up for real at 9:00 and then I packed my stuff up and made sure the house was all clean, and then I went home. I left around 10, so I got home a little after that. When I got home, I ate breakfast and then I sat on the couch and tried to fall asleep, but that didn't work, so I just read instead. I decided that I should update my blog today since I was a week behind, so I spent awhile doing that.
After noon Dad asked me if I wanted to find clothes for our goose since it has been awhile since he wore anything, so I said sure. He got the box of clothes out for me, and I found his Uncle Sam outfit. I took this picture in our newly dressed goose because he's awesome haha.
After that, we ate dinner, and then Mom, Dad, and I went on a bike ride! It was the first time I've rode my bike this summer! We ended up riding 10 miles, and we went to a lot of places I have never been before, so that was cool. I didn't know some of the sidewalks and subdivisions existed in my town haha. When we got back, my butt hurt really bad. Then I worked more on my blog, and we all went to bed. I can't believe June's over already!

Today I woke up at 9 o'clock so that I could run over to my auntie's and uncle's house! So last weekend my aunt called me and asked if I could watch their dogs today because they'll be out of town, and I said sure!!
So this morning my dad made sure I got out of bed so that I could get dressed and head over to their house. They were leaving at 10:30 for the wedding they were going to and asked if I could come over between 9:30 and 10 so they could go over how to feed their doggies.
After they showed me what to do, I drove home and ate breakfast. It was raining when I woke up this morning, and it looked like it would be perpetually overcast for the rest of the day, so Mom decided to go to another mall to spend the day looking for clothes that she could wear to her reunion and my uncle's wedding. So after I finished breakfast we set out on the road. We went to yet another different mall, and on our way there it started downpouring like crazy. It was really hard to see the road, but we made it! And I got to use my new raincoat while walking into the mall because the rain was still coming down once we arrived there.
We started off strong in Sears, but nothing worked out really, so we walked through the rest of the mall, and finally Mom was able to find all her outfitted needs at Dressbarn which is a store I detest mainly because I can't go in there with Mom or Kelley without spending at least an hour in there. I think I would hate it less if I knew it was possible to walk in and out, but that is not possible apparently.
Mom was really excited that she found a dress and some clothes, but we still had the rest of the mall to shop, so we stopped at Bergner's where there were huge sales going on, and I got two cute shirts. After that I stopped at American Eagle while Mom shopped in a different store, and I bought two more cute shirts because they were having a 40% off of everything except jeans sale! Then we walked the rest of the mall, and headed home.
Mom made fish for dinner, and then we both headed over to my aunt and uncle's house to let out the dogs and to feed them. After they were taken care of, we headed to town to find some shoes at Dressbarn that Mom saw at the mall that were not in her size. She still didn't find the shoes in her size, so we went back home. When we got home, I decided to go running, and I ran 2.7 miles! After that I took a shower. When I got out of the shower, I threw on some clothes that I was comfortable in, I packed my bag, and then I set out for my night spent at my aunt's and uncle's house!
The doggies were excited to see me, and I quickly fell in love with them haha. They were so snuggly and insisted on following me wherever I went. I sat on the floor to pet them, and I took this picture of two of the dogs that decided to sit right on top of me. Sutcliffe is the one resting his head on my arm, and Maddux (? I don't know if that's how you spell it, but I just looked it up...) is the one looking very suspicious. I swear I wasn't forcing them to sit by me like I have to with Jersey hahaha. The other dog, Wrigley, was laying at my feet, and I couldn't get her in the picture, but I swear she was right next to me too!
I decided to spend my night reading, and I only got through two chapters before I got super tired, and decided to call it a night, so I turned off the lights, and the dogs found places to sleep in my presence, and I went to bed!

Today was another long day!
It was Friday which has come to mean garage sale day in my house. Mom and Dad were both excited to go garage saling today, and there was a subdivision in town that opened at 8 so Mom wanted to leave a little before that to get to it. I decided to wake up at 7 to take a shower, and that was a painful decision because I hate waking up in general.
After the shower and breakfast, we headed towards the subdivision sale a little later than the intended time. We drove around the subdivision, and we bought some stuffs. I ended up getting one book, but Mom ended up getting a lot of stuff! When we hit one of the houses, I saw two girls dressed exactly the same walking in my direction, and they looked familiar, and the closer they got, I realized that they were twins who I used to tumble with!! So I stopped and talked with them for a while, and I learned that they're going to University of Iowa next year! And I'm really excited about that! We talked for a long time about Iowa, and then I said I should probably leave because my parents were waiting in the car.
There weren't too many houses in that subdivision having garage sales, so we left and headed to a different subdivision that said they were having a garage sale. There ended up being only one or two houses in that subdivision having a garage sale because there was some confusion over when the garage sale days actually were.
After that, we decided to head back home and drop off our stuff before heading out to pick up my grandma. We were going to visit my uncle in the hospital today, and we were going to bring my grandma with. So at 11, we went to her house and picked her up, and we left.
We were going to the hospital in Loyola which is about an hour and a half away from where we live, so on the way we stopped at a Chinese restaurant that looked like one we had around us. The food was super good, but there was a lot of it, so it made me really full. They were also broadcasting the Blackhawks after-parade party in the restaurant, and it was so crazy to watch because there were so many people, and they were all wearing red!! I took this picture of my mom and Grandma in the restaurant while they were talking to each other. I tried to get my dad in the picture too, but my camera couldn't fit all three of them in there.
After the restaurant, we headed back out and got to Loyola around 1:30. Dad and I parked the car, and then we met up with Mom and Grandma. We went to my uncle's room and visited him for a while. They were re-playing the game when the Hawks won on t.v., so we watched that while my uncle slept. At around 3:30, we decided to leave, and on our way out, we ran into my aunt who was coming in to visit!
It had rained while we were visiting, so it was really wet outside. The drive back home had more traffic than the way down because we were in rush hour, but eventually we made it home. We stopped at Culver's to get some ice cream, but I didn't get any because I was still full from lunch. We dropped my grandma off at her house, and then we went home.
As soon as we walked through the door, I laid down on the couch and fell asleep for an hour. I ate dinner after I woke up, and then I decided to start the 12th book! After reading the first chapter, Dad and I decided to watch 21 which is a movie about counting cards. I watched it Sophomore year in my math class, and I remember really liking it. Mom wasn't really into it, so she went to bed. I forgot about the twist in the ending, so I liked the movie just as much as I did when I watched it the first time! I recommend it to people! It's even based on a true story, so that's crazy!
I had a hard time falling asleep because of my nap so late in the day, but I did eventually!

This morning I had the brilliant idea to go running. I woke up at 8 for real, looked at my phone, and saw that it was 70 degrees outside. I figured that it wasn't too hot to go running, and I ignored the part of the weather that said it was 100% humid outside..........let me tell you what a mistake it was to ignore that little tidbit of information.
So I ran a mile, and once I hit the mile marker, I was dripping sweat, and I couldn't breathe, so I decided to walk. Right when I started walking I got a stomach cramp that made me feel like I was about to throw up all over the place. I also felt super light headed and like I needed to sit down. I walked for a ways, and I was so sure that I was just going to lay down in somebody's yard because I did not think I would be able to walk any further. I kept walking, though, because I thought I remembered running past a park the last few times I took this route, and sure enough, I found a park! I sat down on the bench, but I still felt like I was about to throw up, so I laid down, but the bench was really awkward shaped and uncomfortable, so I sat on the swings before finally sitting on the playground steps. I was finally able to cool down and get back to my normal self, and it wasn't actually so bad outside. There was a nice breeze, but the humidity could kill someone. I sat in the park for about 10 minutes, and then I walked the rest of the street that led from the park until I was about a half mile from home, and then I ran the rest of the way home. When I got home, I took a shower and ate lunch and decided I would never ignore humidity again.
I decided to spend the rest of the day inside because any time I stepped outside, I would be smothered in the air, and it was nice and cool inside. I did what I usually do during the week when I'm by myself which is read and do unproductive things on my computer. When Mom and Dad came home, we had chicken for dinner, and then I waited for Jill to come pick me up!
Last week Jill asked me if I wanted to go to a tee ball game for one of her student's, and I said yes because I need to get out of the house more in my life. She picked me up at 7:30, and then we drove to the baseball park where the game was being held. The game started at 8 which we both agreed was kind of a late time for 6 and 7 year olds. We were both afraid that it might be infested with mosquitoes after the big rain yesterday, but luckily bugs were not really a problem!
The game was really fun to watch because the kids were so cute to watch how into the game they got. They also ran really cutely and were so intense when they were swinging that you couldn't help but laugh at them. I took this picture of Jill's student swinging. He was pretty good at hitting the ball without hitting the tee, and he was really funny in general. He would call to Jill every time he would go up to bat haha. His team ended up winning, and now they get to go to the championships on Saturday. Apparently nobody on the team knew that if they won this game they would go to the championships because the coaches didn't want to put pressure on them :).
Before we left, Jill hugged him and said good-bye, and then we drove home. When we got home, I said good-bye, and then I read more of my book before going to bed.

I woke up to the sound of stormy weather this morning. It was around 5:30 when I woke up and walked out to the living room because it was storming like crazy, and I wanted to see the storm out the window. It was still too dark to see the rain and such, so I crawled back into bed, but I couldn't fall asleep so I kept coming back out into the living room. On one of my journeys, the power went out for a few seconds, but then it came back on, and I quickly went to the bathroom in fear that the power would go out again.
Eventually I ran into Mom on one of my walks out to the living room, and she told me that the college had flooded and that it was closed today and Dad needed to go in and help solve the problem. So Mom had another day off of work today! After that, I climbed back in bed and slept until 9:30.
When I woke up Mom asked if I wanted to run to town with her to run some errands, so I ate some breakfast, threw on some clothes, and headed out into the not-so-rainy-anymore day. Many places were flooded really bad because of the rain, and Dad sent me this picture of the college. Apparently this is the loading dock or something, and apparently this is a lot of water. Also, apparently the Jewel parking lot flooded really bad because there is a creek right next to it, and there was only one and half lanes of parking spaces open or something.
So Mom and I ran to Farm and Fleet to look for a raincoat because we have been trying to find me a raincoat with no luck because that's a spring item apparently (I've said "apparently" a lot in this post...). But we were able to find raincoats at Farm and Fleet, and I got one, and I like it a lot! It was a good day to buy one too because I got to use it right away! After Farm and Fleet, we went to Wal-mart, Aldi, and then a grocery store before heading back home.
Mom did productive things at home like typing things up and sewing things.
Dad came home a little earlier than usual because he had finished deflooding the college, and then we had spaghetti for dinner.
I started reading the 11th book in the Series of Unfortunate Events today, and that's what I did after dinner. Eventually I went to bed glad that the rain had stopped and we were not under water.

Today was another day with my momma! She took off last Tuesday because she had vacation time, and she took off this Tuesday because she still has vacation time! We went to another mall today because last week we got dresses for me for my uncle's wedding, and now she still needs a dress for my uncle's wedding and clothes to wear to her class reunion which is coming up.
We figured the mall didn't open until around 10ish, so we didn't leave the house until 9ish.
We decided to go to a different mall than last time, so we headed out and got there right after it opened. There were a lot of people leaving the mall when we got there which was strange since it had just opened, but it was all good. It had been raining in the morning, but it had stopped once we got to the mall.
We shopped for awhile until we walked to one end of the mall and we reached the Rain Forest Cafe, and then we decided to eat lunch there because it had been a while since we had been there. I took this picture of Mom while we were sitting at our table next to a fish tank. We were really into what the fish were doing haha. They had a lot of Finding Nemo fish in there. When we got our food, I ended up getting nothing that I actually ordered. I asked for a turkey club with rice and I got a turkey wrap with fries...so lunch was kind of disappointing. The food was still good, though, it just wasn't what I was expecting/wanting. I also had some of Mom's food because she got this appetizer that looked really good.
When we were done eating, we finished up the rest of the mall, and our shopping day today ended up being not a success. Mom did not find any dresses or clothes for the wedding or reunion, so that was unfortunate.
When we left the mall, it had gotten really hot out, and then we drove to the movie theater and saw Monsters University! I thought it was super cute, and they did a really good job with it. I imagine prequels are hard to make! After the movie we drove to our town and stopped at J.C. Penney to see if we could find anything there. We didn't.
After getting home, I decided to watch Monsters Inc. because I haven't seen it in forever, and I wanted to compare it to Monsters University! They matched up pretty well! When the movie was over I went to bed.

Today was another one of those days. I don't know what to write any more for these days because they're all the same!
I read a lot of my book today because I didn't get a chance over the weekend since Maritza was in town. I'm on the 10th book of the series, and there are 13 in all, so I'm almost done! I'm excited to see how the series is supposed to end because in every book the author mentions that there isn't a happy ending! So I don't know, man!
When I wasn't reading, I was browsing the internet and wasting away my day doing nothing.
When Mom and Dad came home, we ate dinner, and then Mom noticed a deer in our backyard, so I took a picture of him for my POD. He was eating the apples that had fallen from our apple tree in the backyard. The apples are still super tiny, but it's nice that he ate some of them since that means there will be less to clean up once they start to rot and it smells terrible by the tree!
I ended up finishing my book tonight, and that was the only exciting thing that happened to me today!

Today was my last day with Maritza :(. It was a great weekend though! I love spending time with her!!
This morning I woke up and heard my parents and Maritza talking in the kitchen, but I was too groggy to get out of bed, so eventually Maritza came in my room to tell me that breakfast was ready! Mom made pancakes for breakfast because Maritza loves pancakes!
After breakfast was over, we bummed on the couch because we didn't have any plans to do anything today. When we finally got the motivation to move, I threw on some comfortable clothes, and then Maritza and I went down to the barn to get on the four wheeler and go out into the woods. I wanted to show her the creek, but I wasn't sure if it would be too buggy and/or too wet. The woods ended up being a little wet, but we managed to get through it with only a little mud splatters.
The creek was super high and flowing really fast from all the rain we've gotten so far. It was also really cold, so I only put my feet in. When we got out of the woods, Maritza asked if we could keep riding the four wheeler because she was having a lot of fun, so we road around the yard for a while.
After that, we decided to go swimming! It was the first swim of the summer because our pool has been dirty, but today it was pretty clean! We had to uncover the pool, and then I skimmed it! The thermometer said it was 78 degrees...and that was really cold. It took us about a half hour to finally get ourselves in the water because it was so cold. Eventually it warmed up, but you had to move around a lot to stay warm. Mom gave me permission to put Jersey in the pool, so of course I took advantage of that :). She was so happy about it too!! The three of us took this picture together while in the pool, and as you can see, Jersey has never been happier in her life!!
So we swam around for awhile and went down the slide a few times. Eventually we decided to lay on the rafts, and then we decided to go inside and eat lunch. I ended up getting a little burnt from our escapade outside, but it wasn't too bad. After lunch, we decided to make nutella cookies!! While we were making them, there was a knock at the door, and I was so confused even when I looked out the window because I couldn't tell who it was, but then I saw that it was Janelle!!!! So exciting! I haven't seen her all summer, so it was nice to see her today! She was swimming at a pool across the street from me and decided to stop by to say hi. She stayed for awhile, and then she had to go back to the house she was swimming at, but we made promises to get together soon!
While the cookies were baking, Maritza and I decided to watch Julie & Julia because she had never seen it before, and I have been wanting to watch it for a while. It is such a good movie! I recommend it!
When the movie was over, Maritza took a shower, and then we ate dinner, and I had to drive Maritza back to the train station :(. We got there with a few minutes to spare, so we sat in the car and talked until the train pulled up, and then we said good-bye, and she left!
When I got home, I decided to read, and that was the end of my fabulous weekend!!

This morning Mom made quiche which was good, of course, and then Maritza and I took our own individual showers. When the showering was over we headed out! Maritza told me yesterday that she wanted to see the town that I lived in, so I drove her around and pointed out the interesting things, and there are not a lot of interesting things , so it didn't take that long :).
After that, I drove her to the town where I went to high school, and I pointed out my high school, and then we drove to the center of town. There was a farmer's market going on, so we just walked around and such, and then we decided to sit on a bench in the middle and chat for a while. It was super humid out today, so it was kind of miserable. I think it was only in the 70s, but it was kind of painful to sit outside.
When we got back to the car, we drove to Wal-mart, because we had made plans a few days ago to do some baking while she was in town! So we bought some ice cream cones, frosting, and nutella because we planed to make ice cream cone cupcakes and nutella cookies and some point this weekend.
When we got home we started baking the ice cream cone cupcakes. You pretty much just put cake batter in ice cream cones and then bake them, and you get a cupcake inside an ice cream cone! While they were baking we decided to watch the movie Proof which Maritza performed a scene from last semester for her acting class! It was a pretty good movie if you like movies about math and weird things haha. I liked it!
When the cupcakes were done, we took a picture with our favorite cone, and that is the picture you see as my POD! You can't see Maritza's cone though!
Mom and Dad made brats for dinner, and after dinner we went to my grandma's house to boat around the lake! Maritza wanted to be back in time to watch the Hawks game, so we had about an hour to boat around the whole lake. It was a nice day for a boat ride, and everything looked beautiful out!
We ended up getting home around 7:30, and the game started at 7, but they hadn't started playing yet, so that was good! The Hawks ended up winning. Yay! So that was exciting, and now they only need one more game to win the Stanley Cup. I don't really follow any sports, but it's exciting when a team does well!
After that, Maritza decided to go to bed, so I stayed up and watched some stuff on the news and read a little bit before going to bed too.

Happy Friday!! Today I was reunited with Maritza after a month of separation!!!!
Before I met up with Maritza, Mom, Dad, and I went garage saling. We ate breakfast at home before heading out, and then we went to a subdivision sale that was pretty far away. There were a lot of homes participating in the sale where we went, and we ended up finding a whole lot of movies from one of the places because they were selling over 600 DVDs!! That's crazy!! After that subdivision, we went to another one, and the whole time it looked like it was about to downpour. Almost every house we went to was talking about the rain that was about to come, and the sky was getting really dark. At the last house in that subdivision, the lady selling her stuff had two pugs that were so adorable!! There was a tan one who had the cutest pug face ever, and he was super shy and cute. And there was a black one with white legs which was strange, and he had funny bug eyes and made funny snorting noises when you touched him. I fell in love with them and then later told Jersey about them and she was jealous haha.
After the garage sale with the pugs, we decided to go to eat. The only restaurant that we seemed to come across was a sandwich place called Penn Station which they apparently have in Champaign so Mom and Dad had both been there before. The food was super delicious, and while we were there, the rain finally came. It downpoured really hard and fast. There was so much rain coming from the sky!!! When it came time to leave, Mom had brought her little tiny umbrella, and we all decided to make a dash for the car. It didn't really work out too well, though, because Dad didn't even use the umbrella, and I got soaked from pretty much my neck down, and when Mom closed the umbrella all the water fell on her head....soo we were all drenched.
After that, we didn't have a choice but to go home, so we headed home after stopping at one brave garage sale that had moved into their garage. I spent the rest of the afternoon just waiting for the time to tick away so I could go pick up Maritza from the train station! She was coming in at 7:20, so I took a nap at one point and read a little bit. I texted her to make sure she got on the train and everything, and then I headed out to go pick her up!
When the train arrived and she got off, I could not see her, so she had to call me. She was telling me what she could see, and I could see it too, but I could not see her. Finally I told her I was by the tracks, and she stepped around a building, and it turned out that I was standing on one side of the building and she was standing on the opposite side hahaha. It was pretty great. We hugged, and then I showed her to my car, and we drove into town so we could use a bathroom, and then I drove her home!!!!
Mom and Dad had picked up pizzas, so we ate that outside on the deck, and we talked, and eventually we went inside, and we talked in my room. I took this picture of her while she was looking at my books on my ladder haha. At around 11, we decided to watch 27 Dresses because we've been wanting to see that since school, so we watched it together, and she fell asleep. When it was over, we went to bed! Yay! I'm so glad she's here!

Today was a lot like yesterday, but that's okay because Maritza's coming here tomorrow!!! Get excited. So today after I woke up, I decided to put my laundry away. This girl deserves a medal. It usually takes me about a month to put my laundry away, and then once it's put away, it's time to do laundry again. So it's pretty surprising that I actually put it away the day after I did it!!
After I did that, I ate some lunch and read some more of my book. I did a lot of the same as I always do. In the afternoon I decided to sit out on the deck and read with my pup pup. She was pretty hot, and I was getting pretty hot so we only lasted for about one chapter in my book before I decided we should go in. Before we went in though, I decided to brush her outside. She was super pumped, but as you can see from the picture, she was also really hot. Haha I love that picture because she looks like such a loser.
After dinner, Mom and I went and picked up Grandma, and we went to Wal-mart to go shopping. It was the first time I've seen my grandma since summer, so it was nice to see her! She's cute like always. After Wal-mart, we drove her back home, and then we went home too.

Today was another uneventful day! Every morning I have plans to go running, but when my alarm goes off, I'm too tired, so I just go back to bed, and by the time I wake up it is too hot to go running outside! So my biggest problem in life is that I love sleeping haha.
Today after I woke up for real, I decided to put my clothes away that were purchased yesterday, and that led to me doing laundry. I spent most of the day reading and doing stuff on the computer. It was a pretty normal day, and nothing too exciting happened.
At around 1, I left my spot on the couch, and when I came back, Jersey was in the middle of it because she's a stinker, so I took a picture of her. Look at that face. She knows she's a stinker. She is in the middle of the new pillows she is not allowed to touch, AND she's on my blanket.
Dad had a class thing today instead of going to work. He was being certified for something, so he got a home early at around 3. Because of that, we both helped make dinner tonight. I made the side dish rice-y thing and vegetables, and he grilled the pork loin, and we timed it and got it done exactly when Mom got home because we're awesome!

Today was a shopping day!
Mom had a lot of vacation time built up, so she decided to take the day off today to go shopping with me! We started the day off by going to two thrift shops in town that we haven't been to in a while. They both opened at 10, so we were a little early once we got to the first one. We decided to spend the few minutes buying smiley cookies from the bakery. They ended up having lady bug cookies too, so I got a bug, and Mom got a smiley! And I made us take a picture. Aren't we cute?!
After the cookies, we went to the first thrift shop where we ended up finding Kelley a kitchen table for her apartment!!! It's super cute, and it was 30% off!! When we first saw it, there wasn't a price because it had just come in that morning! It's a round table that came with four chairs and a leaf! We bought it and then promised the ladies we would be back later that day.
After that, we went to another thrift shop, but we didn't get anything there, so we headed for a mall!
Mom wanted to get new clothes for her class reunion coming up, and we both wanted to get dresses for my uncle's wedding in September, so we each had a goal! We ended up finding me dresses for the wedding, and they're super cute, and I'm in love with them. I also found some pants and shorts, and other fun stuff. Mom was not as fortunate in the shopping area today. We ate lunch at Stir Crazy, and then we shopped some more after lunch. On the way home, we stopped at Trader Joe's and bought food that we snacked on so that we were not hungry for dinner.
When we got home we picked up Dad, and then the three of us headed back out to the thrift shop to pick up Kelley's table. Mom cleaned it when we got home, and now it is at rest in our spare room! Hoorah!

Today was a very productive day!!! I decided last night that I was ready to tackle my room which means putting my laundry away and sorting out my bookshelf! That may not sound like a lot, but it took a long time for me to work up the motivation to work on it, and last night I was finally ready to decide to do it today!
So when I woke up this morning, I put on some comfortable clothes, and after not really doing much before noon, I ate lunch and then got to work on my bedroom. I started by putting my laundry away which was a nice thing to do since I did my laundry a few weeks ago and the basket was just sitting in my room...
After that, I put away the two remaining bags that were still just chilling from when I came home from college. I then started cleaning out one of the drawers in my desk so that I could find some hook things, and that's when I came across $50 in iTunes gift cards!! Where did that come from!? I honestly have no idea.
After that, I finally decided it was time to sort out my bookshelf. I had so many books just stacked on the bottom shelves from Christmas, thrift shops, and garage sales, and I needed to organize them and put them in their proper places! For those who don't know, my books are arranged alphabetically, so I took all my books that were not alphabetized, and laid them out in a pile on the floor under their letter, and then I took a picture of it, and that is my POD. So those were all my books that were just piled on my shelves. There were a lot. And I spent a good two hours fitting them into my shelves. I should mention that it was almost 90 degrees outside, and I started sweating while doing this because it was a lot of walking up and down my awesome library ladder.
When that was over, I felt accomplished, and I sat down and read. Mom and Dad eventually came home from work, and we ate dinner. After dinner, I decided to go running because the evening cooled off a lot, so I went running, and then I took a shower and did nothing for the rest of the night.

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!! I would have a picture of my father as the POD, but he informed me today that he does not like pictures of himself, so instead I have pictures of airplanes doing tricks which you can't really see haha.
So when I woke up this morning, I handed Dad his father's day card. After getting dressed and eating breakfast, Mom and I went to town to pick up sub sandwich supplies When we got back,.Dad and I then headed over to my grandma's garage so that we could the cut the grass there for her. It was a really beautiful day out today, but it was still hot mowing the grass. We had to mow it twice because it was super long. When we were done there, we went back home, and we ate lunch. During lunch, Dad told me that there were airplanes doing tricks, so I sat outside and watched them do loops.
Mom was doing yard work all day, so after lunch, Dad asked me if I wanted to go get mulch with him, so I said sure. We went to the mulch place, and I helped watch the mulch pour in our trailer, and then we drove home. Dad helped spread some of the mulch, and I sat outside and read more of my book. I decided to go running in the evening, and I actually made it farther than a mile before I had to stop and walk! Yay! I'm glad whatever happened to me the other day did not happen today!! When I got back, I took a shower and then ate some dinner. We spent the rest of the day not doing much. It was such a beautiful day, though! I loved it!

Today was another one of those lazy summer days!
It was a really nice day outside, but I spent a lot of it inside reading. I finished the fourth book in the Series of Unfortunate Events which was super intense because the books are starting to become more unpredictable! I've also realized that the books are hilarious, and I want to know why nobody has told me this before?! After I finished the fourth book, I started on the fifth book which I had just bought for Kelley yesterday from Salvation Army! She told me when she was home a few weeks ago that she wanted to get them in hardcover, and I found this book yesterday in hardcover, and she only had it in paperback! So that was exciting for me.
I read that book the whole day, and eventually I finished it at night while Dad was watching t.v. which was a difficult task because he was watching Misery which I have never seen before but which drew me in because it was intense and funny. It was good.
I took this picture of Jersey throughout the day because you can tell from her hot pup face that it was hot out (for her at least). She was panting every time she had to walk around, and I thought she looked adorable in this position, so I took this picture of her. It took a while to take this picture, though because she's camera shy, and she kept looking away from me and closing her mouth like a jerk haha.
It was a really nice day outside, but I spent a lot of it inside reading. Today was another garage saling day! But it was only me and Mom this time because Dad was busy this morning. We ate breakfast at home of eggs, hashbrowns, and ham, and then we headed out.
We stopped on the way to a few subdivisions where some people were having their own garage sales, and then we went over to the subdivision sale we were heading towards. So we went to a subdivision sale, and I found a book, and then we went to a giant church sale that was going on. There were 13 rooms of stuff, and it was super organized! I ended up buying three books, but none of them were for me because they were for Dad and Kelley instead. The book room was insane because there were so many tables just piled with books. I didn't have motivation to go through them all because there were a lot of people in them, so I browsed and got what I thought looked good.
After the church sale, we went to another subdivision sale, and while we were driving around trying to find the subdivision, we decided to stop to eat lunch. We went to a barbecue place in town that I've passed many times before but have never eaten at. It was about 1 o'clock when we stopped to eat, but the place was super packed, and there was only one waitress, so it took awhile for us to order and then get our food. I got the pulled pork sandwich which I took a picture of because, I mean, look at it. It was gigantic. I had to eat probably 3/4 of it before I could put my top bun on, and then after I did that, I still had to eat it with a fork and knife. I was not able to finish my french fries thought because it was waaay too much.
After lunch, we went to more garage sales. I ended up buying a fair amount of books which made me happy since I didn't buy anything last weekend. When we got home, it was some time in the afternoon. Kyle was home from his dentist appointment, and we sat and chatted for awhile. Dad ended up picking my car up from the mechanic today, so I have it back, and then Kyle and Dad went out to dinner for Father's Day before Dad drove him to the train station to go home.
Mom and I decided to go to Goodwill and Salvation Army later in the evening because Mom really wanted wooden bowls, but she couldn't find any at garage sales. So we went to the retail stores where I found more books! Hoorah! After the Salvation Army, we went to Dairy Queen to get ice cream, and I ran into a friend from dance! So that was nice! When our ice cream was devoured, we went back home.

Happy Thursday! I am happy to report that there was no tornado last night! Hoorah! In fact today was so much different than yesterday, I took a picture of the sky to prove that today was a beautiful day outside! I couldn't believe how blue and white puffy cloudy the sky was after last night's storm! It truly amazed me.
After I woke up this morning, I didn't feel like doing anything, so I sat on the couch like a bum and stared off into space until I convinced myself that I should go running. Yesterday marked week 2 of post-wisdom teeth, and my teeth holes have not been hurting in a while so I figured that I was back to normal! So I pulled myself off the couch and put on some running clothes. By the time I got outside it was 11 o'clock, and I started running, and I died. I probably made it a half mile before I had to stop and walk. I ended up "running" two miles, but I probably only ran about one of those miles and walked the other one. I don't know what it was about today, but I could not run. Maybe it was the heat?
When I got home, I ate some lunch and then took a shower. I took this picture while I was relaxing outside because I could not get over how beautiful it was!!! I spent a lot of the day outside on the deck reading, and Jersey accompanied me this time without too much fuss. I even brushed her while we were outside because she sheds like crazay.
For dinner we ordered Italian beefs from a pizza place nearby, and Dad went to go pick them up except he was gone for about an hour because they were super busy, and when they finally gave him our food, he was halfway home when they called and said that they gave him the wrong order. So we were a little late eating dinner, and the fries were a little cold, but everything else tasted great!
We watched a little bit of t.v. after dinner, and eventually Mom left to pick Kyle up from the train station! He has a dentist appointment tomorrow and so had to come home tonight so that he could make it.

Today I decided to watch Shrek! I had an urge to watch it last night because I realized that I haven't seen the first movie in a really long time, so when I woke up this morning, it looked a little gloomy outside, so I popped the movie in!
I still remembered a lot of the lines from the movie, but I forgot how much didn't happen in the first movie haha. I think I've seen the second one more than the first, so the whole time I was waiting for stuff to happen that actually happens in the second movie! It was still pretty great though. I took a picture of a scene for my POD.
For the rest of the afternoon I didn't do much. I read some more of the Lemony Snicket books, and I just bummed around. Around 3ish I got a phone call from the college, and I thought it was Mom so I answered it, and it was an automated message telling me that there was a tornado watch for our area. Two minutes later, Mom called to tell me there was a tornado watch, and then a few minutes after I got off the phone with her, Dad texted me saying there was a tornado watch haha. He also told me to take Toto to the basement if the siren went off hahaha.
The sky got pretty dark, but Mom and Dad arrived home from work before it got too bad. We were able to eat dinner, and then it started raining like crazy, and the wind was blowing crazily as well. We had to shut all the windows because the rain was blowing inside, and when you opened the door, it was so cold to stand by it because the wind was so intense. There were about two bouts of rain like this, and then it got pretty clear outside. The power went out for about 10 seconds, and then it came back on. Hooray.
After all this excitement was over, it was time for Mom and Dad to go to bed, and I decided to watch the second Shrek movie in my room. Good times.

Today was one of the first summery days of summer!! And by that I mean it wasn't overcast, and I wasn't wearing a sweatshirt which has been a common thing in my life since I've been home! And also, I had an urge to sit outside today!
So after I woke up this morning, I threw on some clothes, and then I went and sat outside. I took this picture of me outside because it was a new thing to happen in my life so far this summer as I have previously mentioned! You can see from this picture that I was on my computer and that was because I was updating my blog. You're welcome! Except I didn't update it as much as I wanted to which is a common theme so far of every day.
I was not able to stay outside very long, however, because Jersey became a hot dog while she was outside with me, and when I tried to put her inside, she started barking and whining because she wanted to be outside with me, so I went in and sat with her. Dad pointed out to me later that she runs the house, and that is so true.
I did go outside a few times after that though. I ate lunch outside, and Jersey roamed the grass while I did that, and then I came outside a little bit afternoon to read on the deck, and Jersey joined me for that as well, but both occurrences were short lived because she is old and has no face, so she can't handle the heat.

Happy Monday again! It's the weekday again, so expect nothing exciting to have happened today! That's pretty much how it works!
So today I did more reading and internet browsing. I started the Series of Unfortunate Events series a few days ago because I realized that Kelley had all 13 of them, and I have wanted to read them for a very long time. I read the first book in fifth grade, and I remember liking it, and I also watched the movie when it came out a long time ago, so I was excited to reread the first book again. I had forgotten pretty much everything from the book, so it was like reading a book I've never read before! I ended up finishing the book later in the evening and starting on the second book.
When Mom and Dad came home, Dad and I drove my car into town so that it could get worked on. Apparently it needed new shocks and an oil change, so we dropped it off at the mechanic guy, and then drove home together. I took this picture of us driving home together because that was the only interesting part of my day. Haha. That's all for today! I spent the night reading the second book in the series and not doing much else.

Happy 25th birthday to Kyle!!! I can't believe how old he is!!! Half way to 50!!
So today was a city day!!! Mom made breakfast for us, and then we were on our way to the city! We got to Kyle's apartment around 10, and then we went inside. He showed us his new bike he bought, and we went up to his apartment to look at the place. We haven't been there since we helped paint which was some time over Christmas break.
We stayed in his apartment for about a half hour because that's how long we had to park on the street, and after that, we went to lunch!
Kyle suggested a place called the Grand Lux Cafe which is apparently owned by the same people who own the Cheesecake Factory. Kyle said he used to eat lunch there often when his company was in a building nearby. The restaurant was really big and super fancy, but Kyle said that the dress code was whatever you felt comfortable in!
Mom, Kyle, and I all ordered salmon which was super delicious and amazing, and Dad got a sandwich which looked super delicious and amazing. When we were done with our meals, we decided to get desserts even though we didn't really have room for them. Dad and I shared a carrot cake because the waiter said we should share it, and good thing we did because I could barely finish my portion of the cake!! But it was sooooo good! Mom got a cheesecake, and Kyle got key lime pie.
After dessert, we were all super full but happy! I took a picture of our desserts because they looked so fancy! You can see all the pictures from today if you click on the button below!
After lunch, we navigated our way to the Museum of Science and Industry! I've only been there once and that was in third grade, and Dad was there too when he was in elementary school, so we thought it would be a cool thing to do for Kyle's birthday. It was a little after 1 by the time we got there, and the museum closed at 5:30! The first thing we did was go to the weather part of the museum which was cool. At 2:30 there was this lab thing call Happy Brrrrr-thday where people who worked there did stuff with liquid nitrogen while celebrating a scientist's birthday. The scientist whose birthday was celebrated today was some English woman who was the first registered woman doctor in England.
The lady who was conducting the lab thing started off by pulling balloons out of the a bucket of liquid nitrogen which expanded when they got into the room, then she had people place stoppers with party blowers attached to them into a beaker of liquid nitrogen which caused the party blowers to make noise, and then she made ice cream with liquid nitrogen which we did not try because we were all still full from lunch.
After that was over, we walked around the museum. We saw more of the weather, we looked at airplanes and trains, and a bunch of other random stuff. At one point, Kyle left to go look at weather, so Mom, Dad, and I went our own way, and we checked out the chicks and the u-boat. By that time, the museum was about to close, so we walked back out to the main lobby, and Mom bought a patch for my patch blanket, and we met back up with Kyle. We dropped Kyle back off at his apartment and said good-bye, and then we were on our way home.
When we got home, we ate a small dinner, and that was the end of our exciting day in Chicago!!! It was a lot of fun! Happy Birthday, Kyle!!!

Today was another fun-filled day!
I woke up at 9 this morning so that I could take a shower and head out to Old Navy! If we all remember from yesterday, Old Navy was having a ridiculous sale on their running shorts, so I wanted to get there to buy my shorts that the lady had put on hold for me!
So I took a shower and then Mom and I were on our way to Old Navy. I had to go to the fitting room to pick up my stuff, and the lady working the fitting room was the same lady that told me about the sale yesterday! She even remembered my name! After I picked up my stuff, I tried on some other stuff because Mom had a coupon but I had to spend so much monies, and finally I ended up with two sandals and four running shorts!
After that, we headed home.
I chilled for a few hours at home, and then my aunt, Jill, and Jim all came to pick me up!
Last month I was invited to a graduation party for my friends, and they just so happen to be related to Jill, so Jill and I decided that we should go together!
When we got to the party, I said hi to Marissa, and then I found Lauren and Liz and said hi to them too. Liz had graduated from college, and Marissa had graduated from high school, so the celebration was for both of them!
I sat with Jill and Lauren at a table, and we talked for a while. We also ate some foods which was really delicious. We ended up staying for about three hours. I took this random picture of the table over which consists of my aunt, and in the background you can see where the food was haha.
After that, I was driven home, and then I ate some dinner and mowed the grass. I didn't do much for the rest of the day, but it was nice to see some friends!

Today was a very long day of sailing!!!
Mom and Dad have Fridays off in the summer because the college closes down on Fridays. So the three of us decided to garage saling today. We left at 9:30ish which was really early for me, but apparently that's a normal time to be alive in the morning...what?! Before we left, though, Mom made breakfast.
We went to a subdivision in town that was having a subdivision sale, but I think all that was purchased was that Dad bought a book so it was kind of a let down.
After that we went to a rich neighborhood that said it was having a subdivision sale but that literally had three garage sales, so we left and then went to lunch. We ate at Buffalo Wild Wings which was only the second time I've eaten there! It was really good even though it was kind of difficult to get the chickens into my mouth. I had to bite them creatively, but I was able to eat everything! Yay! Dad and I also ate fried pickles, and they were delicious!
After that, we went to a new subdivision and more stuffs were found and bought.
On the way home we stopped at a few garage sales in a different neighborhood, and one of the sellers' last name was Sullivan. Dad found this old lap desk thing that said Mr. Sullivan on it, and he held it up to show me which caught the attention of the seller, and eventually that led to the guy giving Dad the lap desk for free. He also got the basket attached to it, but they were using the basket to hold their hats they were selling, so the guy threw in a hat for free as well. Haha it was pretty funny. I took a picture of Dad holding the desk, and that is my POD. Isn't it great!?
When we got home, Dad made pasta salad because he had a man party, and then Mom and I went to town to look for a rain coat. We stopped at Old Navy first, and I noticed that their running shorts were only $10! So I tried some on and decided to buy four and a pair of sandals. When I got to the register, the lady told me that if I waited until tomorrow, the shorts would be on sale for $5!!! And it's only happening tomorrow! She also said that she could put it on hold for me!! So that made my day. After that we went to Maurice's and then Kohl's, but no store was selling rain coats, so we went to Wal-Mart to get graduation cards, and then we went to Dairy Queen for ice cream which ended up being our dinner haha.
It was such a long day, and I was so exhausted by the time we got home!

June 6, 2013
Today was a lot like the past week, but then that changed when Jill texted me!!
So yeah my day was pretty normal. Kelley and I just chilled for a good part of the day, and then she left at 2 to drive to where her teacher thing was. I didn't do much after that. I did finish my book though which was a relief because I have been avoiding reading it since I didn't like it, but I wanted to get it done, so I had to read it! But now I'm done, and I am not going to finish the series because it was painful to get through one book so I can't imagine what the other two are like.
Before dinner, Jill texted me asking if I wanted to go shopping with her because she needed to find a wedding present, so I said sure.
So Mom and Dad came home, and Mom made grilled cheese for dinner, and then I got in my car and drove to Jill's house. We then drove together into town to go wedding present shopping! The wedding is tomorrow, but Jill's boyfriend decided today that he wanted to get a present, so we went to Bed Bath and Beyond.
Jill asked for a registry, but she had already looked at it online so she kind of knew what she wanted to get. Since the wedding is tomorrow, there wasn't too much substantial stuff left on the registry. The biggest thing was a $150 garbage can which we both agreed was ridiculous. She ended up going with a food theme which ended up being a pineapple slicer, a juice bowl, a banana rack, and a chip and dip bowl.
I took this picture of Jill while she was reading the registry in Bed Bath and Beyond. After we found the items, we decided to hunt down the garbage can to see what was so amazing about it. It was stainless steel and fingerprint proof. We even touched it to test it out, and we did not leave fingerprints!!! Haha. It's still a ridiculous price to pay though.
After Jill bought the presents and went through the work to get the chip and dip bowl delivered to the bride and groom's house, we went back to her house. I drove home, and that was all the excitement of today!

We should all applaud me because I actually left the house today!! Hoorah!!! But that wouldn't have happened if I didn't have a doctor's appointment, so I don't know how awesome that actually makes me haha.
I planned on waking up at 9 this morning, but I was too tired to get up, so I kept sleeping until someone rang our doorbell. I was still in my pajamas when I answered the door, but I didn't really care.
There were two girls there who said they were from the township or whatever and wanted to take pictures of our shed. I said sure, and then they wanted to ask me questions about the house, but I said I didn't know the answers, so they just left and took pictures of our shed.
Once they were gone, I took a shower and then ate lunch. My appointment was at 2:30, but I had to gas beforehand because I knew my tank was getting pretty low. So after lunch I chilled for a few hours, and then I headed out.
As soon as I started the car, my gas light came on which was a problem because I thought I had more gas left, so I had to change my route. I was planning on stopping at a gas station on the way to the doctor's, buuttt I didn't know if I would make it and I didn't want to risk it, so instead I drove out of the way to stop at the gas station in town. My heart was beating really fast because I didn't know how far my car could go before it ran out of gas...but I made it!! Yay!
After that, I drove to the doctor's! I was in right away, and they looked in my mouth. The nurse lady gave me a syringe type thing to clean out my mouth after eating so that it won't get infected, and then the doctor looked in my mouth, and they decided to clean it there. He took out my last stitch on the one side, and then they told me I could leave. I should probably mention that my teeth didn't hurt at all today! It was a miracle.
When I got in the car, I took this picture because my appointment was at 2:30, and as you can see, I took this picture at 2:34, so that went fast. I'm pointing at the time if you couldn't tell.
Mom was really nervous about me pulling out of the parking lot because it's on a busy road, and I had to turn left, but when I got to the end of the parking lot, I was able to pull right out!
When I got home, I called the Wal-mart pharmacy to order a refill on one of my prescriptions since the doctor told me to refill it because the pain won't just go away.
Kelley came home right when we sat down to eat dinner. She chatted for a little bit, and then she headed out to dinner. She came back right when Mom and Dad went to sleep, and we stayed up for awhile and chatted for a few hours. She's home because she has a teacher thing in a town west of us tomorrow so she thought she would drive here first and spend the night so that she didn't have to drive all the way from school.

Today was much like the past three days because I didn't really do anything. Surprise!! My teeth were actually pretty painful today, and it was probably one of the worst days pain-wise, so I was pretty angry at that since the doctor told me the pain was pretty much supposed to be gone by yesterday. But I have a check-up appointment tomorrow so I guess we'll just see what's going on tomorrow.
Today I read and played more Sims during the day. It wasn't too exciting, and when I wasn't doing that, I was doing something on the internet, so my day wasn't too productive.
I took this picture of me on the couch in the evening because I realized that I had no picture for today, so if I have no picture I might as well just take a picture of my face, right? This picture is also a pretty accurate depiction of my day because I didn't do anything except lay on the couch, so here I am laying on the couch and being a bum!

Happy June 3! My day was pretty usual and unexciting like it has been for the past couple of days! The doctor told me that the pain should be gone by today, but my mouth was still unenjoyable to be around today, so hopefully everything is going okay inside there!
Today I read and played more Sims each for a few hours. It wasn't too exciting. After Mom and Dad came home, we ate dinner, and then we went out to go to the Verizon store. Dad dropped his phone yesterday and wanted to see if it would be expensive for him to switch to a new phone or if he should go back to his old phone for a few months. The final result was for him to get a new phone. The guy helping us at the Verizon store was really nice, but he tried to sell me a speaker for my iPhone randomly which we turned down because it's unnecessary. You can see the phone Dad got in the picture. He had a choice between two cases, and he chose the one that came with a holster that he can hook to his pants. The case with the holster also had a small kickstand in the back so that he could set his phone down like so and it would stand up.
After the Verizon store, we went to Walmart so Dad could buy chlorine, and Mom looked for flowers except she couldn't find the ones she wanted. On our way home, we drove past a house that had the flowers Mom wanted so I could take a picture of them, so we were creepers for a few seconds.
After we got home we didn't do much for the rest of the night. Mom and Dad went to bed a few hours before me, and then I went to bed later.

Today was a lot like yesterday because I didn't do much. I guess that's what happens when you have four teeth pulled!!!
Mom made pancakes for breakfast this morning, and I was able to eat them in normal proportions and chew them somewhat normally, so that was exciting!!!
After that, my day was pretty boring. I read some of my book and did stuff on the internet. I decided to play Sims for awhile. Mom and Dad spent the whole day outside doing various things, and at one point I took Jersey outside for a walk through our backyard because Dad asked me to.
Some time in the evening I came upstairs from downstairs and saw Jersey looking adorable on the couch, so I took a picture of her. She just looks so sad and concerned in this picture, and I think it's adorable!!! She's just so cute, so of course I took a picture of her!!
That was pretty much the only thing I did today! Jersey's cute face was the only exciting thing of my day! But that's pretty common in my life because I'm obsessed with her face haha.

Today was not too exciting because I didn't do very much. I was expecting to wake up super early to say bye to Kelley and then just go back to sleep and wake up later, but she didn't leave super early, so I was able to wake up at my normal time which is almost lunch time haha. So after I woke up, I ate lunch with the fam, and then Kelley finished packing the rest of her things, and we all said goodbye to her as she left.
Mom and Dad did stuff outside, and I mowed part of the grass. Afterwards, I just chilled inside. My mouth was hurting pretty bad today, and it was giving me a headache and earaches, so I decided to take the other medicine that was prescribed to me which could make me drowsy and nauseous, but I didn't get nauseous which is good! I did get drowsy, though, so I took a nap.
Later in the evening it started raining like crazy!! It started so suddenly and was coming down so fast! You can't really tell from the pictures how much rain there was, but I tried to capture it! Jersey ran downstairs of course haha. There were rivers started in our driveway from the rain flowing through it! It sounded really nice though! And it was nice because it was overcast almost all day, so finally it was raining!!
The rain was the highlight of my day. I didn't do much else for the rest of the evening, and before I went to bed, I took more of the pain medicine to help me sleep through the night.
