Happy last day of July! I can't believe July is already over, and that I go back to school in less than a month! I really don't know what happened to the summer, but it's not over yet, so it's not time to be nostalgic yet!
Today I just threw on some clothes and ate some breakfast. When I went out to get the mail we had two thick envelopes addressed to me and to Mom and Dad, and that could only mean one thing!! Wedding invitations!! I was so excited to open it, and they were so pretty! This was my first ever wedding invitation that I received on my own, so it's a big deal. It was for my uncle's wedding, by the way. I took a picture of the invitation because I thought they were pretty! I even got my own card that I had to turn in to say I was going and what I was eating. This was a big deal for me!
After that excitement I read for pretty much most of the day. When Mom and Dad came home Dad got a call from the car mechanic guy that said Kelley's car was ready, so he asked me to drive him over there to pick it up. When we got there Kelley's car's hood was up and the guy said he found another problem while we were on our way, so we took a nice ride to the other side of town to just ride back haha. It wasn't that far away, though, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Then we drove back home together without a car, and we ate dinner.
During dinner Mom suggested that we run to town to look for some stuff for me for college, so after dinner we headed out to town. We decided to go to Target, and we found a rolling storage bin that is just like the one I already have, so we got another one since my room will be different this year. Then we got some sheets for my bed, and we got a few other things. After Target we went to Meijer and bought some more things for me at college. When we got out of college the sky was so dark, and it was down pouring like crazy on the way home. It was so hard to see the road because the rain was coming down so fast! When we got home we unloaded the stuff, and then I went back to reading. I ended up finishing my book, yay! But now I want to read the last book in the trilogy, but it's only in hardcover, and I don't want hardcover :(( (first world problems). But that was all the excitement of today! Yay! I can't believe tomorrow is already August!

Today was another day by myself at home! I decided to be more productive today, and I started that out by actually taking a shower, hoorah! After my shower I decided to do a little bit of nothing, and then I decided to do some cleaning. I started my laundry in the morning because it was overflowing, and I was running out of shorts, so I put it all in the washer and set to work on that.
Then I decided to clean out my jewelry box because I had necklaces and other stuff in there that I wore when I was, like, 7, so it was time to get rid of some of that crazy stuff. I ended up getting rid of a ton of necklaces, and I also organized my drawers so that they actually made sense and weren't just me throwing random stuff in there. So yay! I'm glad I finally got that somewhat organized.
I took this picture of my next to my laundry because I did that today. It's laying on my bedroom floor which is why I'm sitting next to it.
When Mom and Dad came home Mom and I ran to the post office to drop off the package that was holding my textbook that I had to send out! So I got that mailed today! Mom had to pick up a big envelope from work because the book was pretty big, and we didn't have anything that could fit it at home.
Once we got home we ate dinner, and then I spent the rest of the night reading!

Today was the beginning of my relaxing week after having something to do every day last week! Not that I minded having something to do, though! It was nice to just sit and relax and do what I normally do when I have nothing to do, which is nothing!! Today I sat around and read some and snuggled my pup some as you can see in this picture. I tried to hold her like a baby, but she got cranky and walked away and laid down like this, so instead I just took a picture of my on top of her because she doesn't have a choice if I want to snuggle her like this!!
It was cool out again today, so I stayed inside most of the day. Some time after noon I decided that I should try to sell some of my old textbooks on Amazon, so I got the pile I have of all my textbooks, and I sat down and registered them on Amazon. It took awhile because I had to set up a seller account, but once I had one, it all went easily.
Mom and Dad arrived home at 4:30ish today because their four ten-hour work days are over, and now they are back on regular hours, which means they come home earlier! When they got home we ate dinner, and when I checked my e-mail later I saw that someone had already bought one of my textbooks!! That was super exciting! It was my earth science textbook, so it's nice to see that thing go after stressing over it all last semester!! That was all the excitement for today!

Today was the last busy day of my busy week!! I woke up and ate breakfast because Mom had made French toast, and then I took a shower and got dressed! We had a few minutes to spare before we had to leave. We had a bridal shower today for my uncle's fiance, so first we picked up my aunt and grandma at Grandma's house, and then we went to my other aunt's house and picked up my aunt Sue and Jill!! Then all of us rode to the place where the shower was being held. It was still pretty cold outside today, and it started raining once we arrived at the place. We were one of the first people to arrive there, so we just stood around and talked for awhile as more people showed up. We ate some hors d'oeuvres and then we sat down and lunch was served! It was a really good meal, and there was a whole lot of food to eat. When we were done eating Julie opened up all her presents and it was fun to watch. We got her a knife set, but she seemed to get a lot of cheese stuff like a cheese board and cheese knives and stuff. She also got a lot of wine haha. While we were watching her unwrap her gift we were served cake which was good, and then after all that was over, we opened our party favors. There ended up being two different party favors, and Mom and I both got spoon rests, and Jill got an olive oil bottle.
After that we took this group picture of all of us who drove together with Julie in the middle, and then we said goodbye and left. The rest of the party was going over to Julie's new house to see it, but we had already been there, so we decided to go home instead.
We dropped Jill and Aunt Sue back off at home, and then we drove my other aunt and grandma back home as well. When we got home I changed my clothes, and then I decided to cut the grass because it was long and I hadn't cut it in a while.
When cutting the grass was over I decided to chill for the rest of the night, and I even started a new book. Yay!

Continuing on with my busy week, today was another busy day!!
When I woke up this morning I ate breakfast, and while I was eating Mom announced to me that she was going to the doctor's, so I ate, took Jersey outside, and took a shower. At around 10:30 I headed out to feed Jill's cat again. I was in and out within a few minutes, and then I was driving home. On the way home I stopped at a grocery store to pick up over ripe bananas so that I could make banana muffins today!! The store had a whole lot of bananas that were over ripe and there were gnats flying everywhere around them, but I got them for 59 cents and it was awesome!
When I got home Mom pulled in right behind me, and she learned from the doctor's that she has hives and now has to take medicine for her allergies. She then went outside to do yard work, and I decided to start making my muffins! I made the same banana muffins that I made before because they were so great and amazing! This time I had six bananas instead of 1, so the baking processes got kind of hectic. It ended up making a whole lot of batter and I made 25 mini muffins for the party I was going to, and I made about 24 mini muffins and then a whole pan of big muffins for at home. It was kind of like muffins exploded in our house because there were so many of them. When I was done baking them, I put them all on plates, and then I washed all the bowls and muffin pans I used. By the time I was done cleaning up it was pretty much time to leave, so I headed over to Arzu's house! She let me park in her driveway because the party was a few houses down from hers, and then we walked there together.
I forgot to mention that it was pretty chilly out today. It was pretty much fall in the middle of July so we were all wearing pants and long sleeves and such. The party was being held by one of my old teachers from high school. She throws a party every summer for all the students she had who graduated, and this is her third party! This was only the second one I've been to since I only graduated last year! She also had a baby last month so everyone was taking turns holding her, and she was the most adorable baby ever!!!! She was just sleeping the whole time I was holding her, and it was adorable.
Mainly I just talked to friends and ate some food. We also got a tour of the baby's room which was adorable, and we sat outside and talked and stuff. We took this group picture outside which is in the same place as the one from last year, but this year the group tripled in size! So that was cool. It was fun, and at five Arzu and I decided to leave because Arzu had to work, so we said goodbye to everyone and left.
When I got home Aunt Sue and Jim were over to pick up a tool from Dad, so they were talking outside with my parents. Before they left they each grabbed one of my muffins since we had so many!
We had dinner then, and then I didn't do much for the rest of the night! It was a really fun day, though!

Today was a long long day of sitting in a car. On Wednesday Kelley called Dad and told him that her car was making a loud noise and that she was going to try to drive it home so that she could switch it with another car because she needed it this weekend for something that was happening in Springfield; however, when she tried to drive it home she didn't get very far before she decided that she couldn't drive all the way up here, so Mom and Dad made plans to drive down today to pick up her car and drop off the other car.
So I woke up bright and early at 5 to take a shower. Mom wanted to leave at 5:30 so that we could get down to Champaign and eat breakfast, and then head back. We had to rent a tow dolly to tow Kelley's car back, and we had to return it by 6 tonight, so we couldn't stay too long in Champaign!
We left a little after 5:30. I rode with Mom in the car that we were handing off to Kelley, and Dad drove the suburban. It was overcast all day today, and it kept raining on and off, so it was pretty much the perfect day to do nothing except sit in a car. I took a nap on the way down to Champaign, and eventually we got there. We parked in the driveway of the house Kelley is staying in, and then we went out to breakfast at a diner. Let me just tell you that I give this diner five stars because they actually made my eggs over hard which is the first time I've been to a restaurant where they actually make the eggs over hard instead of super runny! I give them an A+ just for knowing how to make eggs properly. I took this picture of us in the diner with our food. The food was really good, and when we were done eating we went back to the house Kelley is staying in. While Mom and Dad loaded Kelley's car onto the tow dolly Kelley and I made oatmeal cookies for the conference Kelley was going to. While we made the cookies we listened to Kelley's Mumford record on her record player, and it was great.
When Mom and Dad were done loading the car we set on our way home. We said bye to Kelley who had to leave for Springfield in a few hours, and then we left. I took another nap on the car ride home, and we stopped a few times to use the bathroom. We left Champaign around 12 and ended up getting home around 4:30. Dad dropped me and Mom off before he dropped the car off at the mechanic's and returned the tow dolly, and as soon as I got home I drove to Jill's house to feed her cat. She's camping today and tomorrow and asked me to feed her cat while she was away. So I went over there and feed her, and then I came home. It down poured as soon as I got home, and then we ate dinner. It was nice to be home after spending the whole day inside of a car.

Today was my relaxing day of the week, which was nice because it was the first day in a while where I didn't have anything to do! When I woke up this morning I had a note from Mom asking me to cut up some vegetables for dinner, but she wanted me to call her first, so I called her, and she instructed me on how to cut up the peppers.
After that I decided to just finish up watching season 1 of New Girl on Netflix. That took up most of my morning, so by noon I was ready to do stuff with my life. I ate some lunch, and then I decided to cut up the peppers Mom asked me to cut up. Last night Jersey got a bath, and this morning I had to put her flea medicine on which makes her cranky, so while I was cutting up peppers, she was laying right behind me the whole time. I took this picture of me cutting peppers with my pup pup laying right behind me because she was depressed about her medicine. So I cut up all the peppers which took awhile because I was trying to do a good job, and then when I was done I put them all in a bag and prepared to marinate them.
When Mom and Dad came home later they started making dinner which were kebabs except not kebabs because we didn't put them on kebab poker thing. It was super delicious, especially the peppers because I cut them! Then for the rest of the night we just relaxed and prepared for our long day tomorrow!

Today was another shopping day with Mom! She took another day off so we could do stuff together since she has days she can take off at work. We decided to go to the same mall we went to last time she took off because Mom had to return a shirt that she bought at one of the stores, and that mall was the closest place where that store was located, so we went back to that mall! We left around 9 and got there around 10, and we spent the first hour in Bergner's.
When we were done in Berner's we went to American Eagle because I had another coupon to use, and I found some cute stuff. After we were done shopping we went out to eat at Panera. I got a half sandwich and half salad which was the first time I've ever had a salad at Panera, and the meal was sooooo good! It was also pretty much the perfect temperature outside, so we ate outside! It was so lovely, and it actually was a little chilly! The heat wave is definitely over!
After Panera we ran to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to find a shower gift for the wedding shower we're going to on Sunday. We found the item we wanted right away, and then we looked for a new coffee maker for Dad because he wanted a smaller one that only makes one cup of coffee. We ended up finding one, and then we looked around the rest of the store. When we checked out we were directed to the wrapping center where we could wrap the wedding shower gift we got! So I took this picture of Mom wrapping the present! It was really cool because they had boxes and wrapping paper and tulle, and now the gift is really cute!
When we were done there we drove back home, but we stopped at Grandma's house first to pick up some cheese and to get flowers from her. After we got the flowers we went to the cemetery and placed the flowers on my great-great-grandma's grave and my great-grandpa's grave.
After that we drove home and Mom went outside to do yard work. Later we got Chinese food, and that's what we had for dinner, and it was delicious! I was so full when I was done eating, and then for the rest of the night I decided to read.

I woke up so incredibly tired today, and I'm not really sure why. I also remained tired for the rest of the day, so I don't know what that was about.
After I woke up I was texting Janelle about our plans for today because we wanted to go swimming and then see a movie. It looked like it was going to rain all morning, so we decided to skip on the swimming and just go to the movie instead. After that decision was made I took a shower and then headed out. I wanted to go to Barnes & Noble to get the next book in the series of a book I just finished, so while I was out, I decided to run errands too! Ever since Christmas I've wanted to print off pictures for my dorm room, so I finally ordered my prints today from Walgreens! So that was on my to-do list, and I also wanted to get muffin papers for muffins that I plan on making on Saturday! So after Barnes & Noble I drove to Wal-mart which took me forever to find because the GPS took me to the abandoned Wal-mart, and then I stopped at Walgreens and picked up my pictures! Yay! It was nice to cross those things off my list.
When I got home I quick ate lunch, and I was still in the process of getting ready to go the movies when Janelle pulled in my driveway!
We drove to the movie theater in town which I haven't been in since they started an addition, and it's so huge now! We were in one of the new theaters, and I didn't even feel like I was in the same movie theater anymore! We saw Despicable Me 2 which I felt was super long, but maybe that's just because I was really tired. It was cute, obviously, and I laughed, so I liked it. On the way home I remembered we needed to take a picture, so I quick snapped this picture while we were driving. We both look ah-mazing.
When I got home I was ready to pass out, but somehow I managed to stay awake until Mom got home, and then I did pass out for about a half hour. When I woke up I ate dinner, and that was pretty much all that happened for the rest of the night.

This morning I woke up to a text from Jill asking if I wanted to go on a bike ride today! While she was here on Thursday we talked about going on a bike ride today, so I was expecting the text from her! I responded yes, and then we continued the rest of the morning making plans.
I ate breakfast, and then I got dressed in some comfortable biking clothes! I had to get my bike out of the shed which turned out to be a problem because there was a little latch under the lock that I didn't slide back so I tried opening the door a few times, but it wouldn't move. Eventually I figured out how to move the latch, though, so go me!
When Jill arrived we strapped my bike to her bike rack which led to us crying from laughter because we had no idea how to bungee cord things, apparently. The bungees were just not working out the way we wanted them to, but we got them strapped to random things eventually, and my bike didn't even wobble that much!
After that we went to her apartment so she could pick up her bike, and we strapped that on the bike rack in the same fashion, then we drove to her boyfriend's house so she could get the keys to her bike lock. After that we headed over to the bike trail. It was pretty humid out today like the past few days, and it wasn't exactly the coolest day out either. I think it was around 84 or something, which would have been fine if it wasn't so humid. We took this picture in the parking lot after we unloaded the bikes. You cannot see the bikes in the picture because we couldn't find a good angle to have both us and the bikes in the picture.
We felt pretty great in the beginning because it was nice, and then there was this stretch of bike path that was just straight and long and in the sun. It was pretty hot and boring. We brought water bottles, but the water was warm, and when we finally got to the one water pump on the path it was not working. It was super hard to pump and no water was coming out, so we gave up and kept going. Our original plan was to bike to a pizza place in the next town, but Jill said she was going to check the hours before we got all the way out there, and when she looked it up we found out that they only opened at 4...so that was off the list of places to eat. We decided to just ride into town and stop at the Panera there, so that's what we did! We biked all the way out there, and when we found the Panera we had to find a place to park our bikes. We ended up making a huge square in the parking lot trying to find a store or restaurant that would have bike racks outside, and we finally found one outside of the Potbelly! So we parked our bikes there and walked to the Panera carrying our water bottles and phones and such.
Lunch was the most delicious thing ever, and then we filled up our water bottles with the water in the restaurant. The water tasted so amazing because it was so cold! Then after we were done we set back to our bikes and we rode back to the car! The ride back seemed a lot hotter than the way there, and we were both so exhausted by the time we reached the car! We ended up going 22.95 miles!
Once we loaded the bikes we got in the car which was blasting air condition because we were hot, and then we drove to Jill's house to drop of her bike, and we drove to my house to drop off my bike. Then we said goodbye, and I took a shower which was the best decision of my life! The shower felt amazing. I had a fun time on the bike ride, even if it was so hot outside!!

This morning I woke up at 7 for some strange reason, and I was wide awake!! I know! Crazy! Maritza's mom came in her room a little bit after I woke up and said something to her, and when Maritza got out of bed she asked if I wanted to help paint their deck! Apparently they were painting the front porch yesterday, so I said that I would help paint the back porch! It was a lot nicer out this morning than it was yesterday, so it was disgusting to paint! Maritza and I painted the tops of the little post things that made up the railing, and when we were almost finished her mom gave us a smoothie that was super good! Then we ate breakfast which was scrambled eggs with beans, onions, and peppers. Maritza had to teach me how to eat it because it was supposed to be eaten with a tortilla. Then Maritza took a shower, and I painted some more before I jumped in the shower too! Friday night Maritza asked me to pack my dress, so I changed into that when I got out of the shower, and then we both left to go to church.
The church she went to was within walking distance of her house, so we walked there, and then we sat way up in the first pew because she was doing two readings for the mass. The church was huge and nice, but it was super hot in there, and we were both sweating during the whole thing. Towards the end of mass we were joined by her cousin who offered to drive us back to Maritza's house, so we said sure. After he dropped us off, we had Maritza's sister take this picture of us in our cute clothes. We're the cutest!!
After that we decided to watch New Girl on Netflix, and that's what we did for pretty much all during lunchtime. It is actually I pretty good show, and I like it a lot!
Around 4 we decided we should probably do something except sit around, so we sat outside for a little bit while we waited for dinner to get done, and then we went inside and ate. I ate dinner with Maritza, her sister, her parents, and her two upstairs neighbors, and soon her other sister and her boyfriend showed up and ate with us, so there were so many of us at her kitchen table eating dinner! And everyone was speaking Spanish so it was cool just to sit there and eat and listen to them! After dinner Maritza and I decided to go on a walk to get out of the house, and the weather had turned super muggy by the time we got outside. She wanted to take me to this place that sells smoothies, but we walked all the way over there, and the place was closed for remodeling or something like that, so that was disappointed. Instead we decided to walk to Starbucks and get some stuff to drink, and we sat in there to cool off. When we were done we walked back to her house. Her mom, sister, and her sister's boyfriend were watching a movie on t.v. that looked pretty scary, so we decided to sit in the kitchen and watch more New Girl. We watched two episodes, and then I had to pack up my stuff, and she drove me to the train station!
It started down pouring while she was driving me to the train station, and she dropped me off right at the staircase that would bring me up to the train tracks, but I was on the wrong side of the tracks, and the place to cross over was pretty far down, so I had to run all the way in the pouring rain to where I could cross the tracks, and then I took shelter under the little roof area. I was soaked, and I took a picture of myself which you can see if you click on the button below! Also, I started getting really cold from the rain.
The train arrived just on time and the first seat I sat in I had to move from about halfway through the trip because these obnoxious people were watching videos on their phone at the loudest volume possible, and it was super annoying, so I moved up a train car. The train arrived home a few minutes late, but Dad was there waiting for me, and he gave me his sweater to wear because I was so cold. Then we drove home, and I talked to my parents for a little bit before passing out! I had such a fun weekend, though!

Today was the beginning of the many busy days to come!! During our bike ride in Chicago last week, Kyle and I made plans for me to go down to the city today to spend some time with him, and so he could take me out to dinner for my birthday!
Kyle had a wedding to go to yesterday so we planned on my coming down some time in the afternoon today, and last night we made a plan for me to take a train that leaves around 1:45 and gets to him around 3.
When I woke up in the morning Mom had made eggs and ham, and then I took a shower and spent the rest of the day inside because it was hot out, and I didn't want to get sweaty before going to the city. Mom and Dad were laying down the flagstone they had bought yesterday.
I packed around noon, and then a little after one Mom and I headed for the train station. I thought that it was going to be a nice ride into the city, and that I wouldn't really be bothered because I didn't think that many people would take a train at 1:45 on a Saturday, but I was very wrong about that. I found out later that there were over 1,200 people that took the same train I did, and that was because there was a concert at Wrigley Field today. So everyone was drunk and dressed scantily. It was really great. Towards the end of the train ride there were so many people that people were just standing in the doorways because there wasn't enough seats.
I also ended up getting to Kyle about 20 minutes late because the train had to stop longer at every station to let people board.
When I did get to Kyle, though, we said hi, and then we set out for the rest of our day together. We took a few buses to where he wanted to go, and then he showed me a bookstore he found awhile ago that literally had books everywhere. The owner's desk was surrounded by piles of books that were almost touching the ceiling, and everything was just piled everywhere! The place said you weren't allowed to take pictures, but Kyle took a few anyway. Then we went to find a place where we could each get a taco because we were both hungry. We found this little Mexican restaurant somewhere, and we sat down and each ate a taco, half a tamale and some guacamole. After that, we went to Lincoln Park and walked around a pond for awhile, then we walked through a lily pond place that was really pretty and we bustled through the Lincoln Park Zoo because we wanted to catch a bus. At the zoo all the animals looked dead because it was soo hot out. It was so miserable just to be outside and walking around wasn't helping with the heat either.
After the zoo we boarded the bus that took us to the restaurant! We went to 90 Mile because Kyle took me and Kelley there a few years ago, and we've wanted to go back since. We sat and talked, and then our amazing food came out, and I took a picture of it. I even tried a bit of Kyle's portabello mushroom because he said I should, and it was actually okay! When dinner was done I was so full! Kyle and I then walked to the train that was right near there and hopped on so that I could go to Maritza's house! She said since I was already in the city I should spend the night with her so I could spend a day with her tomorrow, so we hopped on the train and took it to her stop! It had started raining when we got off the train, and we waited a little bit for Maritza to show up, and then I said bye to Kyle.
Maritza drove me home, and I said hi to her mom, and then we went to her room and talked for awhile. She took a shower, and then we hung out in her room some more, but we were both super tired, so we went to bed around midnight! It was such a fun and exhausting day in the city! Woo!

So last week when we ate at Panera for dinner, we noticed that they served breakfast, and we all agreed that Panera breakfast sounds amazing since Panera is amazing, so this morning we decided to go to Panera for breakfast! I woke up at 7:45 and got ready, and then we were leaving a little after 8. We all got breakfast sandwiches, and they were super delicious, as you may imagine, and then we all got pastry items too.
Last night Mom looked in the newspaper for garage sales, but not many people were having any. We stopped at a few including a church rummage sale, but there was nothing special about them, really. Mom found more wooden bowls and some jars at the church, and Dad found a book and a movie, but that was it!
After the few garage sales we went to a landscape company to look for flagstone to go around the shed, but Mom didn't like the flagstone that the company had, so we drove to a different landscape company that was in a town farther away. They also didn't get the flagstone that was at the new place because it was more expensive than they were expecting, except when we calculated it we realized that that place had the cheapest flagstone of all the places that we looked up.
But while we were on our way out of town we stopped at a delicious restaurant that we always stop at whenever we're in that town. We all got pulled pork sandwiches, and they were sooo amazing! Then we drove home, and on the way we stopped at Menards to look at their flagstone, but theirs is too fake looking.
When we got home we unloaded everything from the car, and then Mom and Dad decided that they wanted the flagstone we saw at the second place, so they hopped back in the car and drove all the way out there again. When they got home Mom took a nap on the couch because she had a headache, and then I just read on the couch. Dad and I ate dinner, and then he decided to take a dunk in the pool. We were waiting for it to rain all day because we were told it was supposed to rain in the afternoon, and it finally rained while Dad was swimming! It came out of nowhere and down poured like crazy! It was also super bright outside so it looked weird seeing it raining while it was sunny. I took this picture of the outside of the rain coming down. As you can probably see in the picture, the rain looks like snow because the drops were so huge!
The rain didn't last long, and when Mom woke up from her nap the patio was all dry! Then Mom went to bed super early because she wasn't feeling well. I ended up finishing my book while Dad watched a movie, and then we both went to bed.

Today took an unexpected turn for the not-boring as soon as I woke up! Within minutes of waking up I received a text from Jill asking if we wanted to have a swim day today, and I said sure! There's been a heat wave recently that has been absolutely disgusting and which also limits the amount of activities that can be performed outside to just swimming.
After I received the text from Jill I texted Arzu to see if she wanted to come swimming too, but she said she was spending the day in Chicago, so it was just going to be me and Jill!
Since I woke up at 9 I had the whole morning to myself, and I didn't really do much with it except read and do stuff on the computer. Around noon Jill texted me saying she was almost leaving, so I ate some lunch, and when she arrived, we ate some cheese together.
The pool said it was 94 degrees in the water which is a little on the not refreshing side. There were some cold parts that felt nice to walk through, but for the most part it was pretty warm. We pretty much just floated on rafts, and Jersey floated on the raft for a little bit, and she actually enjoyed it! She was a super hot pup outside, though, so after a little while I put her back inside so she wouldn't overcook. Jill and I took this picture while in the pool. We decided to take this picture while laying on our stomachs since last week we took pretty much the same picture but laying on our backs. It took a few takes to get this picture because we looked weird in a lot of them, but eventually we got this one! Also my foot made a cameo appearance.
Eventually Jill got a taste for potato chips and French onion dip, so we climbed out of the pool and dried off the best we could, and then we drove the one mile to the grocery store, and she bought chips and dip. Then we ate some of it, and it was a grand ol' time.
Eventually she decided she should probably leave, and a little bit after she left Mom and Dad came home.
We ate dinner together, and nothing unusual happened for the rest of the night.

Today is a Jersey picture day, so that must mean there was nothing picture-worthy that happened today, and that is absolutely correct!
When I woke up this morning I was still so exhausted from yesterday, and when I got out of bed my legs were actually sore from walking so much yesterday! I know! Amazing! I didn't even think that would happen! I had absolutely no motivation to do anything because I feel like you always need a day of recovery after spending a day at Six Flags. However, I had some errands to run for Dad today, so I had to get to that before noon because that's when one of the places closed!
So I put on some clothes and wet my hair so I could put it in a bun, and then I called my grandma to tell her I cut the grass on Sunday. I stopped by my grandma's house on the way into town, and then I stopped at the lawn mower store place where Dad needed me to pick up stuff for lawn mowers. After that I went to the grocery store, and then I came home.
I didn't do much for the rest of the afternoon, and that's exactly what I felt like doing! I pretty much just sat and played around on the computer, and at one point while Jersey was looking cute, I took this picture of her!

Today was Six Flags Day!!! Last week Janelle and I made plans to go to Six Flags, and she officially bought our tickets on Sunday, so I've been looking forward to it for a while. When I first checked the weather last week to see what it would be like today it said it was going to be mid 80s with 70% humidity, but as today came closer, the expected temperature rose so that it was somewhere in the 90s today...ugh.
I woke up at 7:30 even though I set my alarm for 8. I couldn't fall back asleep, so I just stayed in bed until my alarm went off, and then I took a shower. Janelle had planed on leaving her house at 9:30 because the park opens at 10:30, so I had roughly an hour and a half to get ready. So I took a shower and ate breakfast and packed a lunch and painted my toe nails. All very vital things! I also took Jersey outside, but she was being a stinker and just sniffing around.
Janelle arrived when I was expecting her, and we packed everything in her car, and she decided to drive back home to change her shoes, so we drove back to her house. I got to say hello to her pup pup who has grown a lot since I saw her over spring break! She was adorable! And super excited to see me, and then we headed out!
We arrived at the park a little after 11, and we were already super sweaty by the time we got there. We were both really nervous for the day because we haven't been to Six Flags in probably four years, and that was when we were young and sprite, and now we're not so much either of those things.
The first thing we did when we got there was go on one of the small rides to get ourselves pumped for the roller coaster. I took this picture of us on the ride. You can't tell, but we were both soo sweaty in this picture which is why Janelle is making that face haha. It was so hot.
As soon as the ride started I realized a mistake I had made today, and that mistake was that I can no longer do rides the way I used to. I was on a ride made for children and I was getting so dizzy from it haha. But we managed to get through the whole thing without throwing up, and then we went to the Batman. The lines were super short today because it was so ungodly hot out, so that was nice. We got on the Batman pretty fast, and that was also super dizzying, and we both agreed that it was terrifying. We did a few more rides including a water ride that got us soaked, and then we decided to eat lunch.
We both brought lunches because the prices of the food in the park are crayzay. So we ate in Janelle's car. She turned on the air while we ate, and it took a lot of self motivation to get back out of the car and into the park!
We changed into our swimsuits in the car, and when we reentered the park we went to the water park. We rode the lazy river a few times around, and then we went to the wave pool for a little bit. The wave pool was so super packed, so we knew where all the people who were supposed to be in the theme park went!
The rest of the time in the water park I spent standing in line trying to get a cup of water, but for whatever reason the lines moved suuuppperrr slow.
We waited a little bit to dry our swimsuits, and then we put our clothes back over them to go back into the main park.
When we first got out of the water park all the rides were shut down, and they were running empty cars on the roller coaster. We decided to head to the teacups, but all the mini rides were shut down to, so we don't know what was going on. They eventually opened the roller coasters, but the mini rides remained shut down for a good amount of time. We rode a few more rides, and we even stood in line for a ride that broke down, so we went to the swings, and then came back to that ride which was running again. It did not break down while we were on it, though.
The last ride we did was Superman which is always the longest wait which I don't understand. We rode with this little boy and his dad, and the little boy was so cute because it was the first time on the ride and he was scared. That ride did also not break down which is good news bears because it once broke down on me and Mom before.
When that was over we were thoroughly sick of walking and standing, so we headed out of the park and headed home.
When I got home I said hello to my parents and then jumped in the shower right away because I was so disgusting from the day. I was so tired from the day that I actually went to bed before 11 which is probably the first time that's happened in over a year! Today was so much fun, though! And I'm so glad I went even if roller coasters are a little scarier than they used to be.

Today was such a productive day, in my opinion. I didn't do too much that was vital, but I still got stuff off my to-do list.
As soon as I woke up I ate some cereal and took a shower, and then I set to work on getting my laundry folded and put away. Since my closet clean out, putting away my clothes is not as stressful as it was before because all my clothes actually have hangers now! I actually have a whole lot of extra hangers!
When that was done I decided it was time to make some muffins! Mom bought some bananas a few days ago that got ripe super fast, and we had two left, so last night I made plans to make some banana muffins to get rid of them, and when I woke up this morning there was only one banana left, so I adjusted the recipe to account for one banana instead of two! It was really easy because the website I was using that had the recipe adjusts recipes for you. Except that it called for 1/4 egg with the adjusted recipe...I just went with the whole egg.
So I got out all the ingredients and set to work. It was super messy because I had to beat banana and butter and egg and such. It was also not an easy mixture to pour into a muffin tin. It was only supposed to make 3 muffins, but I think that extra 3/4 egg added a whole nother muffin into the mix.
I also had to a create a topping that was sprinkled over them before they were put in the oven! It was very exciting stuff!
While they baked I cleaned everything up. It took awhile for the muffins to be ready because two were done, but the other two were not fully baked yet, so I kept pulling them out, afraid that the other two would burn! Eventually they were all done, and there was no burning involved! I ate lunch then, and then I pulled the muffins out of the tin. As you may or may not see in the picture, they overflowed, so I scraped that all off and set them on plates, and they looked perfect! They were also perfectly delicious because I ate one with lunch! I was proud of my skillzz.
After lunch I decided to run to Kohl's to look for a wristlet since I've wanted one for awhile, and I had a gift card. It was sooo hot out; I felt like I was being caterpillared into a hot blanket just walking outside, but I managed to survive the heat.
When I got to Kohl's I found their purse section, and eventually I found their wristlets. I texted Kelley asking if I should get one that fits your phone inside or one that does not let you carry your phone, and she said go for the phone one. The original price of the wristlet was $33, but it was 40% off, so it was supposed to be $18. When I got to the cash register it came in as $9, and I was so excited! I was not expecting that at all, and it's a really nice quality one too!
When I got home I just did stuff on my computer until Mom and Dad came home. They each had a muffin and agreed they were good, and then I ate the last muffin. Mom prepared tuna sandwiches for dinner with cheese that my grandma gave us. I ended up eating a whole lot of cheese and carrots, and I was so full, but everything tasted so good!
After dinner I just hung out on the couch and didn't do very much! But tomorrow's going to be exciting!!!

Today was another lazy weekend day! I woke up at around 10 again and decided to eat breakfast. I made a one-eyed sammy for myself, and then Mom got up and decided to make breakfast for herself and Dad. After breakfast Dad and I headed over to Grandma's garage and mowed the grass there. It wasn't as thick as some of the other times we've been there, but it had a bunch of those long weed things that don't like to be mowed, so when I was done I was just driving in random circles trying to cut down all the long grasses that refused to be cut.
It was super hot out today, so I was sweating by the time we left the garage. When we got home I took a shower, and then I went outside where Mom and Dad were both working on their individual things. Mom was painting her potting bench that Dad made, and Dad was fixing up an old table we had on our deck. I decided to sit in the shade of the new patio table umbrella and read. It was very relaxing. Jersey insisted on being outside with us even though she was a hot pup. The weather wasn't too bad if you were in the shade. It was actually pretty nice! I took this picture of Jersey lounging in the shade with Mom painting in the background and Dad doing his thang in the background too.
We had spaghetti for dinner, and then I stayed inside for the rest of the night reading. Mom ended up finishing painting, and the potting bench looks really nice!
It was a nice end to a nice weekend!

Throughout the night I kept feeling my sunburn ache every time I moved around, but luckily it's not as bad as I've had before! It's actually pretty manageable, just a little uncomfortable.
I ended up waking up around 10 because it felt so good to sleep. Mom was still in bed when I woke up too, so I wasn't the only one who didn't feel like doing anything! Dad was already awake and said I could mow the grass when I was ready, so I ate some cereal and put on some clothes. I wore a white t-shirt so the sun would not be attracted to me anymore! It was kind of painful to be out in the sun, but at least my shoulders were covered! So I mowed the grass, and it was pretty hot outside, so I decided that I would go swimming and read in the pool even though I didn't want any more sun. Instead of reading, I ended up just floating on a raft and almost falling asleep because it was soo comfortable, and the water felt so nice!
Eventually I just got out of the pool and sat in the shade underneath the table umbrella, and I read there. Mom and Dad both stuck their feet in the pool, and then at 4 Mom went inside to get ready for her class reunion tonight!
Mom and Dad both got ready, and I read, and then at around 6 they were all ready to go! I took this picture of them all dressed up! Aren't they cute?! Then they left a little afterwards. I ate dinner, and then I read some more and texted Maritza, and now I have plans to go see her next weekend! Yay!
Around midnight I was getting really tired, but I told myself I would go to bed at 1, and Mom and Dad got home at 12:45! Mom had lost her voice because it was really loud at the restaurant they were at, but they talked for a bit, and then we all went to bed.

Today was bike ride day in Chicago!! About a month ago Kyle, Dad, and Mom set up a date for the whole fam to come down to Chicago and bike ride along Lake Michigan! Kelley even arranged to come up too!! So the day to bike ride was today!!
We originally planned on leaving for Chicago at 6:30, so I woke up at 6, but when I walked into the 'rents' bedroom Dad was still laying in bed. Let me just tell you how many times I've woken up before Dad before this day: 0. So that was a strange feeling haha.
I wet my hair under the tub faucet so I could style it, and then I ate breakfast. We didn't end up leaving until around 7, but we weren't on a time schedule, so it actually didn't matter what time we were leaving.
We stopped at McDonald's for breakfast to get some egg McMuffins, and we were all surprised when we walked into the McDonald's because they fixed it up a few years ago, and it was the first time we've been in there, and it looked so different and nice! When our breakfast was over we set out for real for the city! Of course we got stuck in traffic on the way down because it's Chicago, and there's always traffic going in and coming out of the city.
We eventually got to Kyle's apartment a little after 9, and he and Kelley were eating breakfast. Kelley had come up to the city last night and spent the night with Kyle.
After visiting for a little bit and getting situated for the ride we set back out and headed to the harbor place where we were going to start our ride! It was literally the perfect day to go bike riding! It was kind of chilly this morning, but eventually it got warm as the day went on, but there was always a really nice breeze to make it the perfect weather!
We took a bike path that ran pretty much parallel to Lake Shore Drive, and we stopped at places to look at the view and to take pictures. You can see some of our pictures if you click on the button below! We stopped for lunch at a place at Oak Street Beach where they served tacos and nachos and such. It was super good, and it had a beautiful view of the beach and the city! It was also right on the bike path! After lunch we headed back out and stopped at more places along the way to look out at the people swimming, and then we explored some other places. Eventually we stopped at Navy Pier to use the bathrooms, and then we got the heck out of there because it was sooo crowded. We rode all the way to the Shedd Aquarium, and we took amazing pictures of the skyline because you could see it all from where we were. Then we rode out to Soldier Field, but it was closed down. Kyle said that on a normal day you can walk all around it except into the stands, but Bon Jovi was in concert there tonight, so it was blocked off.
After Soldier Field we turned around because it was already past 3 o'clcok, and Joe was picking Kelley up some time after 4, so we had to rush back to the starting point.
We still stopped at places on the way back to look at the surroundings, but the bike ride back was much faster pace and it was the first time in the day where I was actually sweating, and my legs started to hurt.
When we finally made it back to our car we had biked a grand total of 23 miles!!! And we were all pretty burnt/tan in places. Kelley, Kyle, and I all had ridiculous sun tan marks on our faces from wearing sunglasses, and Kelley's back was super burnt because she hasn't really been outside this summer. I felt burnt too on my back.
Joe met up with our car, and Dad packed all the bikes in, and then Kyle rode home, and Kelley headed back to Champaign with Joe, and Dad, Mom, and I headed home.
I fell asleep on the way home, and I was also getting pretty chilled because of my sun burn, so I wore a sweater, and when we were in town, we stopped to eat at Panera, and I got something new, and it was delicious!!!
When we finally made it home Dad unloaded the bikes, and I uploaded the pictures to Facebook! We were all pretty exhausted and didn't do much for the rest of the night. But today was such a wonderful day, and such a perfect day for a bike ride too!!! It was so much fun!

This morning I woke up and had no motivation to do anything, so instead I decided to clean out my closet!! I ate breakfast first, and then I set to work. My closet has been overflowing for too long, and I don't wear a lot of my clothes, so I had to try everything on to see if I still wanted it to take up space in my life. I ended up with a pretty decent pile and a whole lot of extra hangers! Go me!
It took me a few hours to clear everything, and while it was happening I had a text from Jill asking if she could come swimming again, and I said of course!
When I was done I ate lunch, and then I waited for Jill to come over! She said she was bringing her dog, Max, because yesterday she was curious about whether or not he would enjoy swimming. He was super excited to be here and to smell so many new things, but Jersey was not a fan. She was hiding behind me and cowering under my legs and being a grumpy old lady. When we got outside Max kept chasing Jersey around the pool, and then Jill brought him in with her. He didn't hate swimming like Jersey does, but he wasn't really a fan either. We think he didn't mind floating on the raft, but every time he shook to get the water off he would fall into the pool, and we laughed. Eventually when Jersey and Max were both on the deck Jersey learned to walk onto the first step of the pool steps to avoid Max, so she learned how to get in the pool by herself! And she even voluntarily walked onto the raft if I set up by her! She's so great. It was cracking me up how much she hated her life today.
I took this picture of Jill and Max the first time he was in the pool. As you can see he looks a little sad.
Jill left again a little after 4 to go make dinner, and I stayed in the pool until Mom and Dad came home. I started a new book today that Julia recommended to me over a year ago when she was here to visit!
After dinner, I read on the couch, and Mom told me I looked dark. Apparently I got really bad sunglasses marks around my face...not cool! Oh well! That's what happens when I spend two days in the sun, and tomorrow will be another day in the sun! Oh boy!!

I had more errands to run today because Mom realized yesterday that it's nice having me get stuff done while they're at work so she doesn't have to do it later! So last night she compiled a list of groceries she wanted me to buy from Aldi!
When I woke up I threw on some clothes and looked outside. It looked absolutely beautiful so I thought today would be a good day to go swimming! When I took Jersey outside, though, I realized that it was chillier than I had thought it was. It wasn't as humid or hot as it has been the past few days, but I still decided to text Jill to see if she wanted to go swimming with me!! She said sure, but I told her I had to run to Aldi first.
So I set off on the road, and eventually I made it to Aldi. I felt like such a mommy going grocery shopping because I had to buy things like cream of chicken soup and frozen chicken breasts which is not what 19 year olds typically buy, I'm assuming. I managed to find everything except turkey burgers and waffle fries because I'm convinced they were hiding.
When I checked out and bagged everything I texted Jill to tell her I was on my way home. When I got home I unloaded everything and then ate a quick sandwich. Jill showed up a while later, and then I offered her a sandwich, and she ate one too. We eventually made our way outside and into the pool. The pool was literally warmer than the air, and it was sooo nice! Jersey came swimming too of course!
We just floated around and talked, and then we attempted to take pictures which was hard because we were both on separate rafts. This was the best product of our struggles. All the other pictures are kind of ridiculous. Jill left a little after 4 to go make dinner, and I stayed in the pool. Eventually Mom and Dad came home and we ate dinner. Dad went swimming later, and then we covered the pool. I ended up finishing my book tonight, and that was the end of my day!

Last night Mom asked me to run a few errands today, and I said sure because I had a coupon to use at American Eagle that I wanted to use up, so today would be a good day to go shopping!! So when I woke up I already had plans for the day!!
One of the things I had to do was pay the bill for the chiro, but the chiro didn't open until 2, so I wanted to wait for awhile until I could hit all the places I needed to go in one go. When I woke up in the morning I ate breakfast, and then I took a shower and spent my morning lazing about. At around noon I decided it was time to leave to do my thangs! The first stop was the American Eagle store which is in a town about a half hour away, and I had to take a new route to get to it since one of the roads was out, so I set out determined to reach my goal! It was another hot day out again, so I had to use the air in the car and I was still getting pretty gross. Bleh. I stopped and got gas, and eventually I made it to the store! The coupon I had was for $10 off of $40 or more, but the store was having a sale where literally everything in the store was either 25% or 40% off! So it was really hard to find things that added up to $40! When I got to the cash register, I actually was only at $35, so I had to quick find something else to buy! When I was done there it had started raining outside, and my goal was to find a Jamba Juice that I could drink for lunch! I passed it on my first go, so I had to turn around and come back before I finally spotted the place, and then I bought a smoothie, and it was super delicious!
Then I headed back to town so that I could pay the chiro bill!! After the chiro I had to go to the grocery store to buy lunch meats. After that I made my way home and took this picture with my shopping bag to document my day of shopping! It was nice to make it out of the house!
After Mom and Dad came home and we ate dinner Mom and I went shopping with Grandma at Wal-Mart! So my day was just full of shopping! After that shopping experience we dropped Grandma off at home, and then we drove back home!

Today was an uneventful day. I woke up this morning and thought for about .2 seconds about going running, and then I looked outside and saw that it was raining, and it was coming down pretty hard. So I decided to make today a do nothing day since it was rainy outside!
I decided to play Sims in the morning. Around noon I decided to get dressed and eat lunch, and then I read on the couch for awhile. The humidity outside was incredibly disgusting, so I only took a step outside when I had to take Jersey out, and when I got the mail. Just walking to the mailbox made me sweaty because it was so humid. Ugh.
When Mom and Dad got home Mom made dinner and we ate. Some time around dinner Mom said that Jersey looked like she was sitting like a human, so I took a picture of her being a weirdo and looking like a person. If you couldn't tell she never moves from that spot which is why all the pictures of her are taken on that arm rest.
I read some more after dinner, and then later I decided to play Sims. After a few hours I decided to go to bed.

Today was a nice relaxing day after the busyness that was the past few days.
When I woke up Mom had made breakfast of eggs and sausage, and then after breakfast I decided to mow the grass! It was so super hot out that I was sweating while riding the lawn mower. Ugh. I decided walking back from the barn that today would be a good day to go swimming, so that's what I did! I got back to the house, ate lunch, and then I asked Mom if she would help me uncover the pool.
I started a new book today entitled Mrs. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children which is really interesting because the author took a bunch of old photographs and basically made a story using them. It's pretty crazy, and for the first few pictures I couldn't tell if they were real photographs or if they were made for the book. But they're real!
I read that throughout the day, and Jersey joined me for a little bit in the pool against her will. Later Mom and Dad both came swimming with me, and Jersey came swimming once more! It was just a nice swimming day because it was so hot out, and our pool has warmed up nicely. I was able to walk right in without having to get used to the water!
In the evening I decided to brush Jersey, and while I was cleaning out her brush I was stung by one of those baby wasp things. I swear they hurt more than the bigger ones. It stung really bad! So I put Vicks on it which worked pretty much right away!
Other than my bee sting the evening was pretty relaxing and nice! It was a great Sunday!

I woke up at 8 this morning to straighten my hair, and before I got out of bed Mom told me that my aunt texted my dad last night and asked that we be at the church by 10 instead of 10:30 today, so that gave me less time to straighten my hair, but I didn't need the whole time anyway, so it's all good.
I straightened my hair in less than an hour which is a record for me, but it didn't straighten as nicely as it usually does. The left side of my head was refusing to go straight, and instead it was just kind of puffy. When I was done I ate some breakfast, and then I put on my dress. At 9:45ish Mom, Dad, Kyle, and I were on our way to the church. The services started at 10:30, so I talked to Jill at the beginning before they ushered us into the church. The service was really nice, and the priest was good at making everything light-hearted despite the fact that it was a funeral.
When the service was over we ate lunch which was Chinese food, and it was super good. Kyle taught me how to use chopsticks, and I picked up my egg roll with it, but then I needed my fork and knife to cut the egg roll, so I just gave up after that one attempt.
After lunch we got in our cars and drove to the cemetery. Dad and Kyle were Pallbearers, so they rode in the limo to the church, so it was just Mom and me in the car. We didn't have a funeral flag on our car, so we tried to get in the middle of the procession, and it all worked out well. When we got to the cemetery, another priest read a few prayers, and the funeral was over.
We stopped by my grandpa's grave, and then we got in the car and drove home. When we got home there were two messages on the answering machine from Mom's cousin saying that she was in town, so Mom called her and invited her over. I quickly filled out the graduation card that I bought earlier this week, and after Grandma and my mom's cousin was here for a few minutes, I left to go pick up Lauren. I asked her yesterday if she wanted to go to Emily's graduation party with me, and she said yes. I picked her up at 4, and then we drove to Emily's house. It was nice to see Emily, and Lauren and I got to talk to each other. They had a blow up obstacle course thing that you can see in the background of our picture, and Lauren, Emily, and I raced each other. We learned that I'm terrible at obstacle courses that are blow up haha. I kept falling and crawling on my hair, and the whole thing was just bad news bears. I took this picture with Emily before we raced and before I got all disheveled.
We only stayed for a little over an hour because I was exhausted from the day and Lauren had a paper to write by midnight. We ate dinner, and then I dropped her off at home and drove home. Mom and Dad were on their way home from dropping Kyle off at the train station/eating at Panera when I got home. I spent the rest of the night reading, and I finally finished the last book in the Series of Unfortunate Events! It was a really great ending if I do say so myself. They were really good books!

Today Mom, Kelley, and I woke up bright and early to go visit Judy! I woke up a little later than I wanted to, so I skipped my shower and decided to shower later on today.
Our first stop on our way was to stop at the bank because Mom had to deposit a few checks. When we pulled away from the bank Mom had me count the money that we got back, and we were short by over a hundred dollars. We had to drive back to the bank, and apparently the lady had mistaken a check for $122 as $12...so that would've been bad.
Once that was sorted out we were on our way! We arrived at Judy's a little after 9 and were immediately greeted by Marbles! We said hi to Butch, Judy, and Mindy, and then we pet Marbles. I took this picture of her in one of the few moments when she was sitting still :) She's such a cutie. There are more pictures of her below!
It was pretty hot out when standing in the sun, so Judy showed us how Marbles liked to play with the hose, and it was adorable! She got super wet, and then she walked all over the flowers so she got muddy too.
We eventually went inside and chatted for awhile. After about an hour we decided to leave, so we said our goodbyes and were on our way. We stopped at a few garage sales on the way home, and eventually we made it home.
After lunch I took a shower, and then I decided to take a nap on the couch because I was still exhausted from yesterday! And I just like taking naps.
Around 3 I put on my dress, and Mom, Dad, and Kyle all put on dress clothes so that we could head over to my uncle's wake who passed away Tuesday night. I rode with Kelley over to the church. She drove separately because she couldn't stay very long because she needed to head back to campus so that she could take two important tests tomorrow.
The wake was at a really nice church, and there was a slide show of pictures that was nice to watch. Kelley left after a half hour, so we said goodbye to her as she set off for Champaign. I sat with my family for the night, and when the wake was over at 8, we headed back home. I ate dinner, and then I read some more of my book. I wanted to finish it tonight, but when I got to the last chapter, I got really tired, so I decided to go to bed instead and prepare for another early morning tomorrow.

Happy Fourth of July!!!! Today was not our usual Fourth, but it was a lot of fun!
Dad, Kelley, and I all had one eyed sammies for breakfast this morning, and then Kelley and I took turns taking showers. I wore won of my new shirts that I bought at the mall last week because it was blue and white and adorable! You can see the shirt in the picture!
When I was out of the shower I decided to read a little bit while Kelley was getting ready, and while she was getting ready, Joe showed up at our house because he was eating lunch/going to some of the festivities with us today.
Mom and Dad made hamburgers for lunch, and it's been awhile since we've had hamburgers so they tasted really good! We ate on the deck and we chilled for a while until Mom pointed out the time, and we realized that the parade started in a half hour! So Kelley, Joe, and I quickly got our stuff together and headed out into the heat and Kelley's unairconditioned car to the parade! We had to park pretty far away because the roads were blocked seeing as we arrived right when the parade was supposed to be starting. On our way towards the spot we were going to stand in, we stopped at my uncle's rental house and used the bathroom. When we were all done, we found a nice spot on a street that we could stand at and watch the parade. The spot ended up being super close to the action, and people were handing us candy instead of actually throwing it at us.
We saw Grandma on one of the floats for the food pantry, so I took a picture of her sitting on the couch, and you can see the picture if you click on the button below!! The parade was really short, but it was still nice to see. It was also really hot outside which is the first day it's been hot in a few days! Kelley voluntarily got sprayed by the people with water guns.
When the parade was over, we cleaned up our area and headed back to the car. When we drove home Mom and Dad had already left for my uncle's Fourth of July celebration, so we got in Joe's car and headed over to my uncle's house! He bought a new house with his fiance, so it was the first time I got to see the house, and it was nice! We were only the second people to show up, and we thought we would be the last ones, so we said hi to everyone and then sat down to talk. Mom and Dad showed up later with my grandma, aunt, and Kyle whom they picked up at the train station on the way to the party. We chatted with Jill on the deck, and we were all pretty miserable from the heat. We were pretty much sweating uncontrollably. Then dinner was served and it was super good! The house was on the river so there were boats and stuff that you could take out, but the only people that took up on that offer were my little cousins. Joe took this picture of Kelley, Jill, and me on the deck, and Jill instagramed it, and I stole it from her which is why it looks cool and stuff :)
After dinner, Kelley and Joe left to go see the fireworks in his town, and Jill and I continued to talk on the deck. When the sun started going down we all decided to skip the fireworks in our town and just stay at my uncle's house because we see the fireworks every year, and it was nice where we were. We lit a fire on the deck, and my cousins roasted some marshmallows, but when the mosquitoes started biting, we all decided it was time to leave.
I went home with Mom, Dad, Kyle, Grandma, and my aunt, and we dropped my aunt and grandma off at home before heading home. I took a shower as soon as I got home because I felt really disgusting, and then we relaxed on the couch. Kelley came home a little bit later, and I was pretty much falling asleep on the couch while Kyle looked for stuff to watch on T.V. Eventually I just went to bed exhausted from the long day in the sun!!

I didn't do much with my life today. I decided to do what I usually do during the weekdays which is to just read and do other stuffs. I played some Sims again today, and that was fun. I also read a lot in the Lemony Snicket book which was also fun. I ended up getting dressed a little after noon because I felt like a bum.
When Mom and Dad got home we ate dinner, and then Dad and I went to town to pick up some stuff. We went to Menards and two grocery stores because the first grocery store closed their deli at 8, and we showed up a literally 8:05. When we got home I read some more, and then I took this picture of me because I realized I didn't have a picture of the day, so I just took one of my face.
While I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep I heard the front door slam, and I knew that Kelley must be home! So I came out of my room and said hi to her! I haven't seen her in a while, so it was nice to see her. We said about five words to each other, and then I went back to my room and went to bed.

This morning I woke up and decided that I should go running, but it took me about an hour before I actually got out of bed to go. It was pretty cool this morning which is why I thought running would be a good idea, but it felt pretty hot while I was running. I ran 3.4 miles and walked three times within that...which is okay I guess.
When I got home, I took a shower, ate breakfast and decided to go to Wal-mart to buy some things. I ended up getting two picture frames for a birthday present Kelley got for me and a graduation card for a graduation party I have on Saturday.
When I got home, I ate lunch and then read some of my book! I'm on the last book of the series!! I have mentioned that yet?! So I read for a bit outside, and then I read inside.
Eventually Mom and Dad came home, and we ate hotdogs on the grill, and when we got done, I switched into jeans because it was pretty chilly outside, and then I headed out to go pick up Arzu!!!
We planed yesterday to go see a movie tonight because we haven't seen each other in a month!! So I went and picked her up, and we headed to the show! We saw This is the End which I thought was funny, but I probably wouldn't pay to see it again. I had to show my i.d. to get in which is one of the few times I've had to do that! So it was exciting! We took this picture before our movie started in the theater. I went to the bathroom at the beginning of the previews, and when I came back she told me I just missed something scary and I left her alone for that haha. I thought that was funny.
When the movie was over we drove home and made promises to hang out and go swimming in my pool! So I'm looking forward to that. When I got home Mom was still up, and we stayed up for a little bit longer, but then we both went to bed.

It's been a while since I've taken a picture in this spot, so I figured today should be the day! Today was a nice relaxing day after the busy weekend that I had! Even though it wasn't that busy...
I woke up this morning with plans to go running, and then I decided that I didn't feel like it. So I took a shower and figured that I would just go running in the evening instead, but that didn't happen either. It was nice out today, so I sat outside and read for a while. I actually read a lot in my book, but the wind was kind of making me cold, so I came back inside.
By the time Mom and Dad got home, I only had one chapter left in my book, and by the time dinner was ready I only had a few pages left! I quickly ate dinner, and then I finished up my book! Now I only have one left in the series! After dinner Mom and I went and picked Grandma up to take her shopping. She had to go to the card store to get cards, and while she was in there Mom and I went to Aldi and Meijer.
After that, we dropped Grandma back off at home, and then Mom and I went home. I started reading the 13th book in the Series of Unfortunate Events, and then I went to bed after awhile.
